It’s been a few years since people started to be interested wether I am online or not on Yahoo! Messenger. I believe it is my right to privacy and my decision to be online or sign-in invisible, so this is a call out to everyone that is interested in my personal life (incl. online status): get a life!
The funniest thing that happened to me a couple of years ago was when I signed in invisible on Yahoo! Messenger and two people sent me at the same time almost the same message: “I know you are there sitting in front of your computer! Answer me now!“. Funny or not, I was in fact not at my computer, I was roaming through the room doing other work and came to the computer at least an hour later. To this day, whenever people tell the above line, I always answer them that they still need some other skill to see if I am at the computer in flesh or it is just their silly mind interested in what I do with my life.
Coming back to this post, I have tested today some websites that are supposed to see if users are offline or invisible on Yahoo! Messenger. My setup: Yahoo! Messenger for Mac 3.0 beta 3, Mac OS X 10.5.2 Leopard.
The result: FAILURE! All 4 websites have failed to detect wether I was offline or invisible :D For your consideration here are the links:

Good luck finding if I am invisible or offline! :P

The tests failed because you didn’t try http://detectinvisible.com/
Just did! Thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately that website was not able to tell my real status as well, but showed: “OFFLINE”.
a very good invisible scanner is http://www.narubian.com
A very good site is http://www.detectinvisible.me.
Very nice UI, very fast. Also, the site hosts a collection of Yahoo! Messenger utilities, statuses, avatars.
If you want a desktop status check application, you may download the program “Detect Invisible.me”, available on the same site.
I recommend it!
